മാങ്കരയിലേക്ക് ഒരു യാത്ര

അന്നൊരു ശനിയാഴ്ച ആയിരുന്നെന്നാണ്  തോന്നുന്നു. എനിക്ക് സുഖമില്ലായിരുന്നു.  പെട്ടെന്നാണ് ഡോ: ഇന്ദുലാൽ  പറഞ്ഞത്   മാങ്കരയിലേക്ക് പൊകാമെന്ന്. ഞാൻ ഓകെ പറഞ്ഞതും ഡോ : പ്രസാദ് മാങ്കരയിലെ ഡോ: പാർത്ഥസാരഥിയെ  ഫോണിൽ വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു എന്റെ വരവിനെ പറ്റി.

പിന്നെ ഒന്നും നോക്കിയില്ല ധന്വന്തരി ഭഗവാനെ  മനസ്സിൽ ധ്യാനിച്ച് യാത്രയായി. വഴി മദ്ധ്യേ യാത്രയെ കുറിച്ചും പ്രകൃതി സൌന്ദര്യത്തെ കുറിച്ചും വാചാലനയിരുന്നെങ്കിലും എനിക്ക്  പലതും ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാനായില്ല. പിന്നീട് ഞാൻ തല കുലുക്കിത്തുടങ്ങി. അനാരോഗ്യം ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഒന്നുമില്ലെങ്കിലും ഒരു ഡോക്ടറുടെ കൂടെ ആണല്ലോ യാത്ര.  അതും ഒരു ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക്. പിന്നെ  എന്തിനു പേടിക്കണം..?

എന്റെ ഭീതി അതല്ലായിരുന്നു - ഒരു  ഓഫീസ് കൃത്യനിർവഹണത്തിന് പോകുന്ന ഞാൻ അവിടെ എത്തിയിട്ട് സുഖമില്ല എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാൽ  നാണക്കേടല്ലേ എനിക്കും പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനും.

കോയമ്പത്തൂരിൽ നിന്ന് ഇരുപത്തിരണ്ട് കിലോമീറ്റർ ദൂരം  അട്ടപ്പാടി പോകുന്ന വഴിക്ക് ആനൈക്കട്ടി തടാകം റൂട്ടിൽ ആണ് എനിക്ക്  എത്തിച്ചേരേണ്ട സ്ഥലം. ടൌണിൽ നിന്നും നാലഞ്ച് കിലോമീറ്റർ കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ പിന്നെ അധികം ആൾ താമസമില്ലാത്ത ഗ്രാമപ്രദേശമാണ് - ഇഷ്ടിക  ചൂളകൾ നിറഞ്ഞ്‌ അന്തരീക്ഷം      പൊടിപടലമായി ഒരു  പൊള്യൂട്ടട് ഏരിയ.   എന്നിരുന്നാലും  വലിയ പ്രശ്നം തോന്നിയില്ല.

ചൂളകൾ  കണ്ട് രസിക്കുന്നതിന്നിടയിൽ മാങ്കര   എത്തിയത് അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.  ഹൈവേയിൽ നിന്ന്  ഒരു കിലൊമീറ്റർ കട്ട റോഡ്‌ താണ്ടി എ വി പി കോമ്പ്ലെക്സിൽ എത്തി. പറഞ്ഞറിയിക്കാൻ പ്രയാസം -   അത്രയും മനോഹരമായ ഒരിടം.

അവിടെ എന്നെ കാത്ത് ഡോക്ടർ പാർത്ഥസാരഥി  കാത്ത് നിന്നിരുന്നു.  അവരുടെ അഡ്മിൻ ലെവൽ മെനേജ്മെന്റ് കണ്‍സൽറ്റന്റ് ആണ് ഞാൻ. അവിടെ  ഒരു പ്രോജെക്ടിന്റെ ഭാഗമായാണ് എന്റെ സന്ദർശനം .

അവിടെ കാലുകുത്തിയതോടെ എന്റെ അസ്വസ്ഥതയെല്ലാം മാറി. ഞാൻ ആകെ ഫ്രഷ് ആയ  പോലെ തോന്നി. ഡോക്ടർ പാർത്ഥസാരഥിയുടെ ഓഫീസിൽ അൽപനേരം ഇരുന്നത്തിന് ശേഷം  ഞങ്ങൾ ആശുപത്രിയും കൊമ്പ്ലക്സും ചുറ്റിക്കാണാൻ ഇറങ്ങി.

It was a saturday I guess. I was not well. It was all of a sudden that Dr Indulal  told that we would go to Mangarai. The moment I said ok, Dr Prasad called up Dr Parthasarathy who is also in Mangarai, about my trip to Mangarai. Then I did not think much . I just prayed to lord “dhanwanthari”  and started my journey.

Though Dr Indulal  was talking about our journey and nature's beauty , I could not concentrate on so many things. After some time I started nodding. I thought that although my health was not ok,I was travelling with a doctor and that too to a hospital. Then why should I worry…?!

That was not my fear. My fear was that, I was going for an official purpose. For the same reason, it would be embarassing for me and the doctor as well, if I go there and tell them that I am not well.

The place I want to reach is called “mangarai” which is on  "Anaikatti thadakam" route. About  22kms from Coimbatore, on the way to Attapady. It is a village  which is 4-5 kms from the town area. It is a place where there are no much inhabitants. It is an area polluted by lot of furnaces used for making bricks. But still that was not a big problem.

Since I was immersed in watching the furnaces, I did not notice that we reached Mangarai.  After travelling for one km from the High way we reached AVP complex.

Oh! It is difficult to explain how beautiful this place is. Doctor Parthasarathy was there, waiting for me. I am their Admin level management consultant and visiting this place as part of a project.

The moment I reached there, my illness went away. I started feeling fresh. After sitting in Dr Parthasarathy's office for some time, We stepped out for seeing the hospital and complex.

Dr Parthasarathy is the Medical Officer & Academy In-charge  “Arya Vaidyan P. V. Rama Varier Memorial Ayurveda Hospital & AVP Training Academy”. There are few other doctors too der but Dr. Varsha Santhosh is the Head Incharge.
